His next move is yet to be known, but it has been reported he could opt for a knee surgery after existing nagging irritations that have prevailed for quite some time now.
Less than six months in, the club had dumped, ditched and abandoned the forward.
He spent months in an apartment that was paid for by his agent, struggled to make ends meet, and only survived on tea and chapati.
"The club dumped me in the apartment for which I have to pay $1,000 (Shs 3.7 million), yet they have not paid me a salary," he told Daily Monitor then.
"You can't imagine I have been eating chapatis and tea since I came so that I can save the little I have."
He has since returned to Uganda and is among the recruits at Jinja-based side BUL FC ahead of the forthcoming season.
Muhammad Shaban - KCCA to Raja Casablanca

At the time of his departure from KCCA FC to Raja Casablanca in 2018, Shaban was one of the hottest properties in East Africa, having impressed in both the Uganda Premier League and the CAF Champions League.
To join Raja, the Moroccans reportedly coughed close to $150,000, and it all looked like it would work out for the former Onduparaka FC captain.
Less than a year in, the Uganda Cranes star returned to the country after rumours of racism, alleged indiscipline and injury setbacks.
Since his return in 2019, he has played for Vipers, Onduparaka (second stint) and is currently at KCCA FC.

Okello left as arguably the finest played in the country in 2020 to join the Algerians, and expectations were sky high.
He had impressed at the Lugogo-based outfit, and the majority felt he was ready for a pro move. He eventually settled for Paradou after reported interests from Ajax and FC Zurich in the Netherlands and Switzerland, respectively.
After two years, in search of more playing time, Okello returned to KCCA on a season-long loan deal last campaign.
He returned to his parent's side at the end of the loan, but at the start of this week, it was confirmed the two parties had agreed on a contract termination.
Nelson Senkatuka Bright Stars to Moghreb Tetouan

After captaining and excelling at Soltilo Bright Stars for two years, scoring 31 Uganda Premier League goals, Senkatuka joined Moghreb Tetouan in Morocco.
Having signed for three years, he returned after two seasons, which only went somewhat as envisaged, given his ability and form at the time of the deal.
The reasons for his premature departure from Morocco were unclear and remain a mystery.
Senkatuka returned to Bright Stars and continues to star for them. Last season, he became their all-time top scorer after hitting the 50-goal mark.
Gavin Kizito Mugweri - SC Villa to Al Ittihad

Having captained record UPL holders SC Villa in the 2021/22 season at a young age, Kizito secured a move to Egyptian side Al Ittihad.
He signed a two-year contract, but after a season where he struggled for playing time, the club and the player agreed on a mutual termination.
The club statement cited the 'technical vision of the technical staff' behind his axing.
Just yesterday, the Uganda Cranes defender sealed a return to Villa, where he hopes to restrategize for bigger and better moves.
