Vipers SC head coach Alex Isabirye has a strong track record of nurturing young budding talent, as evidenced in his entire managerial journey.

In his most recent job before the Venoms at BUL FC, the tactician was stout in raising and fostering players like Simon Peter Oketch, Martin Aprem, Ivan Wani, Reagan Kalyowa, and Hilary Onek, among others.

In less than two full months at Vipers, youngsters Rogers Torach, Enock Luyima and Jack Komakech are steadily becoming pillars in their quest for domestic glory in the current campaign.

The St Mary's Secondary School graduates have made proper strides in the senior team, and head coach Isabirye is pleased with their development.

"The young players (especially) Rogers Torach and Enock Luyima are adapting well," revealed Isabirye to the club media.

While Torach has played 90 minutes in the past three games, Luyima, on the other hand, made an impressive debut as a left-back in the last match against Calvary FC on Friday.

"They are starting to put in performances that are keeping them in the team," Isabirye added in satisfaction.

The other youngster, goalkeeper Komakech made his debut over a fortnight ago in Vipers' last Champions League group stage game against Horoya AC, stamping Isabirye's trust in academy stars.

With his track record, Isabirye could save the club considerable sums in player acquisitions.

Vipers is likely to benefit even more from their feeder side St Mary's Secondary School, Kitende, which has proved over the years to provide talent to the club and elsewhere.

The school has, over the years, produced stars, including Uganda Cranes skipper Emmanuel Okwi, Farouk Miya, Yunus Sentamu, Halid Lwaliwa, Aziz Kayondo, Ashraf Mugume, Charles Lwanga, Bobosi Byaruhanga, among others.
