Saka beats Kane to consecutive Player of the Year awards
Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka continues to receive plaudits for his brilliant campaign in the previous season.
"After winning 3-1 and 4-0 in our first two games, there was talk about not being too happy about the way we played! Top club mentality."
Spurs supporters were incensed by Kane's remarks; some said he "bottled" the opportunity to win championships in North London.
One person tweeted, "Harry Kane is the bottle job, and any trophy he 'wins' at Bayern won't disguise that fact."
Another fan said, "Harry Kane never loved Spurs like everyone thought he did… Imagine my shock.
"How about keep quiet H and focus on your new club, rather than digging out the club that made you and gave you multiple chances to do the things you say you want to do. Try not to bottle it, pal."
While a third fan commented, "He’s played in four finals in his career and hasn’t turned up in any of them."
One Tottenham supporter even named a number of wasted chances for Kane to win a trophy, including the Euro 2020 final, the 2021 Carabao Cup final, and the 2019 Champions League final.
Last month, Kane even had the chance to win a trophy on his Bayern Munich debut, but the German powerhouses blew the Supercup by losing to RB Leipzig 3-0.
