Tottenham have started life without Harry Kane and can make a big statement with a win over Man United who were brutally exposed by Wolves on Monday

Manchester United will bid to maintain their winning start to the new Premier League season when they head to London to face Tottenham on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils were a little fortunate to scrape a 1-0 victory over Wolves in their opener, but manager Erik ten Hag will be happy to have three points on the board.

Meanwhile, there were plenty of promising signs for Spurs in their 2-2 draw away at Brentford as they began life without Harry Kane.

While things are not yet perfect, the same could easily be said of United who squeezed past Wolves in controversial fashion on Monday, hardly looking their absolute best.

Still, few would doubt this is a big early test for Postecoglou’s team and their progress under his watch.

Team news

Spurs have been boosted by Cristian Romero being declared ready to play following a head injury that forced him off last weekend.

Rodrigo Bentancur, Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil are also out but Fraser Forster should be ready to take his place on the bench.

For United, Lisandro Martinez is set to overcome a small ankle injury that was revealed after the win over Wolves.

Rasmus Hojlund is still not ready for his debut, with Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo and Amad Diallo also not available.

When and where to watch

The match will be live on SuperSport TV from 7.30pm
