Qualified teams – Marumo Gallants (S. Africa), Rivers United (Nigeria), ASEC Mimosas (Ivory Coast), ASFAR (Morocco), Yanga (Tanzania) and US Monastir (Tunisia).
Only two quarterfinal slots will be available when the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup group stage enters the final matchday in April.
This is after five more teams advanced through after posting positive results over the weekend.
In group A, debutants Marumo Gallants from South Africa sealed their spot despite losing 4-1 away to Libyan representatives Al Akhdar.
A 1-all draw in the match between Congolese and Algerian sides St. Eloi Lupopo and USM Alger meant the former and Akhdar cannot reach a maximum of nine points and therefore the South Africans sail through.
In Group B, West African giants Rivers United (Nigeria) and ASEC Mimosa (Ivory Coast) sealed the two slots with wins over Congolese neighbours.
Mimosa raided the Angolan capital of Luanda to beat DC Motema Pembe 2-1 courtesy of Aubin Koiame’s brace.
Motema Pembe hosts their matches away from their base in Lubumbashi due to a lack of facilities.
In Nigeria, Rivers United Nyima Nwagua for his brace inside four minutes from the 73rd minute to salvage a point against Congolese side Diable Noirs.
The results took Rivers and Mimosa to an unassailable 10 points, therefore, reducing the final group games to a mere formality.
Group B results
Rivers United 2-2 Diable Noirs
DC Motema Pembe 2-1 ASEC Mimosa
In Rabat, the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces ASFAR brought down the Pyramids 1-0 to advance. The result left the Pyramids to fight for the remaining slot against their compatriots Future FC who beat Togolese side ASKO Kara 3-0.
The two Egyptians are tied on eight points ahead of their derby next month.

ASFAR 1-0 Pyramids
Future FC 3-0 ASKO Kara
