Arsenal chasing Fabian Ruiz
"Arsenal have initiated discussions with Paris Saint-Germain for Spain international midfielder Fabian Ruiz," Transfer expert Duncan Castles revealed on The Transfers Podcast.
The discussions are reportedly dependent on Arsenal moving a player out of their midfield first, as Mikel Arteta's side looks to reshape their squad for the upcoming season.
If a deal is reached, it's likely to be structured as a loan with an obligation to buy after a year.
Meanwhile, the Gunners are also close to completing a €50 million (£42.1m) deal for Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori.
Arteta was keen to bolster his defensive options as last season's runners-up look to finally wrestle the title from Manchester City next season.
Ruiz could partner Declan Rice in midfield to allow Martin Odegaard the freedom to play closer to the opposition box.
