Manchester United have reportedly identified a new striker target as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Manchester United are reportedly considering a new transfer target if they cannot land Victor Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres.

Ruben Amorim’s forwards have struggled for goals, with Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee scoring a combined five Premier League goals in 39 appearances.

United are in the market for a new striker and have been linked with a move for Sporting Lisbon's Gyokeres and Osimhen, the latter of whom is on loan at Galatasaray from Serie A club Napoli.

However, the Red Devils are considering a move for Osimhen’s Nigerian teammate Victor Boniface, according to Sky Germany

While injury has limited the 24-year-old to 10 Bundesliga appearances with Bayer Leverkusen, Boniface has notched six top-flight strikes for Xabi Alonso's men, who sit second in the German top division after 19 games.

The £42m-valued forward joined Leverkusen from Union SG in the summer of 2023 and played a key role in their Bundesliga title-winning campaign last season.

Despite an extended layoff, his pre-injury performances in the Bundesliga and Champions League continued to impress.

Manchester United have already allowed Antony to join Real Betis on loan this month and Alejandro Garnacho could also be on his way out of Old Trafford

If both players depart, United will need to bring in reinforcements in attack, possibly paving  the way for a Boniface transfer.
