The player, who was one of the best in his position last season in the second-tier, has one year left with Kaaro Karungi.

After a sequence of departures, Arua Hill SC look certain to finally make a few additions to their depleted team.

The West Nile powerhouse is closing in on a deal to sign FUFA Big League side Kaaro Karungi FC's defensive midfielder Moses Kasagga.

Kasagga, who can also operate as a box to box midfielder, will sign a two-year employment contract with the Kongolo, should the three parties involved deal with the fine details.

The player, who was one of the best in his position last season in the second-tier, has one year left with Kaaro Karungi.

According to trusted sources at the latter, the Leopards will edge newly promoted side Mbarara City FC, who also expressed interest, albeit, without tabling concrete bids.

Kasagga managed five goals in the league last season, the second best tally of any Kaaro Karungi player, despite being deployed as a central midfielder.

While at Kabula Ssaza last year in the Masaza Cup tournament, he netted five times, which was the most of any player for the team.

Besides Kaaro Karungi and Kabula, Kasagga has previously played for Kampala University, Malongo Soccer Club, Busujju Ssaza and Mawogola Ssaza.

He is currently among the key players for Ankole Province in the ongoing FUFA Drum.

Arua Hill's troubles

The club has been hit with a massive player exodus with the likes of Bright Vuni, Isaac Okello, Innocent Maduka, Richard Matovu already departed.

They are currently dealing with uncertain futures of the likes of Innocent Media, Rashid Toha, Gadafi Wahab, Allan Mugalu among others.
