Tusker confirm full pre-season schedule as they prepare to tour Uganda

Tusker are prepares for next month's pre-season with three international matches aiming to sharpen tactics and integrate new team members.

Twelve-time Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions Tusker FC are set to embark on a pre-season tour to Uganda, where they will participate in a series of friendly matches aimed at fine-tuning their squad ahead of the upcoming season.

The Brewers' itinerary includes encounters with some of Uganda's prominent football clubs ensuring a competitive edge to their preparations.

The club has finalized plans for three crucial fixtures during their stay in Uganda.

The tour will kick off with a match against NEC FC on August 6 followed by a clash with Kitara FC on August 7.

The series will culminate in a game against newly promoted side Uganda Premier League side Lugazi FC.

“These matches promise to be intense and competitive, providing invaluable opportunities for our players to fine-tune their skills and tactics under match conditions,” the club said in a statement.

Following their matches in Uganda Tusker FC will return to Nairobi on August 11.

“In Nairobi we will enter the final phase of our pre-season training regimen. This period will focus on further enhancing our physical conditioning and tactical strategies, ensuring that we are fully prepared for the upcoming season,” the club's statement further outlined.

Kitara FC, one of Tusker’s opponents, are also in the spotlight as they prepare to represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup against a yet-to-be-confirmed Libyan side.

Lugazi FC, on the other hand, has recently ascended to Uganda’s top flight after a strong performance in the FUBA Big League, finishing second behind champions Police FC.

The pre-season tour not only provides Tusker with essential match practice but also offers a platform to integrate new signings.

In the 2023/2024 season, Tusker settled for a second-place finish in the FKF Premier League trailing behind Gor Mahia by eight points.
