The Brewers are looking beyond the Kenyan borders for a new tactician after the six-year tenure of experienced Robert Matano.
Tusker FC are reportedly considering hiring a foreign coach following the departure of veteran Robert Matano.
Matano had been at the helm since 2018 in what was his second stint at the club, yielding two FKF Premier League titles in 2020-21 and 2021-22, although the latter was scraped. He also won the tile in 2012 after replacing Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo in his first spell with the Ruaraka-based giants.
He left the club this month following the expiry of his contract and Tusker are now looking for a replacement to return them to title-winning ways after back-to-back second place finishes.

Tusker announce more departures as 11 players leave Ruaraka Grounds
Tusker have officially announced the departure of 11 first team players from the team following the expiry of their contracts, including four Harambee Stars players.
According to Capital Sport, the Brewers are considering replacing Matano with a foreign coach in what would be a departure from their recent norm of hiring Kenyan tacticians.
The last foreign coach at Tusker was Ugandan Paul Nkata who won a league and cup double in 2016 before he left in December of that year.
Tusker are seeking a return to the top of Kenyan football after being topped by Gor Mahia in the last two seasons and have began a major squad overhaul after parting ways with 11 players this week.

Robert Matano leaves Tusker FC after six-year second stint
Matano has left Tusker after months of indifferences with the club's management, with the writing being on the wall for quite some time now.
Defender Daniel Sakari, goalkeeper Brian Bwire and striker Eric Kapaito have also left for pastures new despite the club’s desire to retain them but the Brewers have managed to convince captain Charles Momanyi and Ugandan striker Deogratious Ojok to extend their contracts.
“I am glad to have extended my contract and my hope is that I remain fit this season. I have worked so much on my physical fitness and hopefully I will score double digit goals,” said Ojok, who scored five goals and provided three assists last season.
