Tusker FC goalkeeper Brian Bwire has revealed two targets he wishes to accomplish this season ahead of their clash with Gor Mahia on Saturday

Tusker goalkeeper Brian Bwire has revealed his targets for the remainder of the season ahead of a crunch league match against Gor Mahia this weekend that could shape the outcome of the season in the title race this weekend.

The game is set to take place at the Machakos Stadium this weekend, with Tusker seeking to get to within just six points of the league leaders and try to get closer to the top as soon as possible.

Bwire has kept seven clean sheets in his last 11 games for Tusker, and he will be hoping he can make it an eighth one this weekend.

“My target of course is to become the best keeper at the end of the season,” Bwire told Pulse Sports.

Bwire has further revealed that his charges will stop at nothing until they lay their hands on the league title they last won in 2021.

“We also want to win the league, not maybe, but actually, which is our big target,” said Bwire.

“We always have to win the league. We are in the race so we have to push ourselves in order to achieve those targets.”

Meanwhile, the Harambee Stars keeper has revealed how he has grown as a player ever since being promoted to vice captain.

“Right now, people have grown and as a captain, you have to rally people in the team. You have to make sure everyone is pushing hard.”

At the start of last season, they also did not start well but found themselves finishing the league on 69 points, one behind winners Gor Mahia. It is the highest second-place finish ever recorded over the last 15 years.
