After missed title opportunity, the Brewers aim for triumph and international representation.

Tusker FC goalkeeper  Brian Bwire has voiced his optimism for the upcoming 2023/2024 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League.

The Brewers, who narrowly missed out on the trophy last season, are determined to bounce back stronger and secure their spot at the top of the league standings.

Reflecting on the team's pre-season preparations, Bwire highlighted its importance in fostering unity among both new and seasoned players, setting the stage for a cohesive and competitive season ahead.

The team embarked on a one-week training stint in Tanzania, where they engaged in friendly matches against Coastal Union and Mbuni FC.

“The pre-season was good for us to bond with new players and prepare for the league. I hope this coming season we will give our best and get good results," Bwire remarked, emphasizing the significance of their collective effort in an interview with club media.

Tusker’s  previous season saw them clinch the second spot, narrowly trailing behind the trophy winners, Gor Mahia.

The disappointment of falling short has served as a valuable lesson for the team, prompting them to focus even more on their objectives and work harder to attain them.

“Last season we were to carry both titles but at last it did not go as we hoped, but we learned that we should always focus and work harder so that we can win the titles," Bwire acknowledged.

The custodian expressed the team's collective goal of not only clinching the FKF Premier League title but also representing their country on the international stage in continental competitions.

“Our target is to win and represent the country in the continental competitions," Bwire stated firmly, revealing the team's ambition to make their mark beyond national borders.

The disappointment felt by the fans after last season's trophyless campaign has not fallen on deaf ears

Bwire is quick to assure the supporters that the team is well-prepared and determined to turn the tables in the upcoming season, delivering the victories and silverware that the loyal fans so eagerly anticipate.

During their pre-season sojourn in Tanzania, Tusker FC faced Coastal Union and Mbuni FC in friendly matches.

Tusker fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Coastal Union, followed by a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Mbuni FC.
