Maroons FC winger Abraham Tusuubira can walk with his head held high after he put up a great display, helping his side to a 3-0 league win away to Wakiso Giants FC on Sunday.

The 19-year-old managed two assists and a goal in the dominant display on the day, revealing that his performance can only spur him going forward.

“The team put in a lot of effort despite the ups and downs we’ve had during preseason,” Tusuubira told Pulse Sports.

“The plan was to kill off the game early so the result paints the picture, and we hope we continue that way.”

“I am happy about my performance. This is my third season, and now I know what to do; I can only get better from here,” Tusuubira added.

Youngster Darius Ojok notched a first-half brace as the side’s win registered as the biggest scoreline of all the games played on match day one.

Mohammed Senfuma’s charges next face S.C Villa on Sunday, one of the top sides they beat at the Luzira stadium last season.
