FOOTBALL Uganda Cranes midfielder Shafiq Kagimu completes move to Europe

Former URA FC captain Shafiq Kagimu will ply his trade in Europe next season after completing a move to North Macedonia outfit FK Rabotnicki.

The sleek midfielder has been unveiled on a two-year employment contract with the Macedonian top-tier side.

This comes after spending the past season at Kenyan giants Gor Mahia under former Uganda Cranes head coach Johnathan Mckinstry.

The pair together with Uganda Cranes striker Patrick Kaddu, won the 2022/23 Kenya Premier League championship, the club's 20th in history.

In North Macedonia, Kagimu links up with Cranes and former Vipers SC captain Halid Lwaliwa, who spent last season at Breganilica Skip.

About FK Rabotnicki

The club holds a standing rich history that spans up to 1937 when it got founded as SK Radnicki Skoplje, which is 85 years ago.

Under head coach Ljupco Markovski, they host their matches at the 33,000 seater Toshe Proeski Arena.

They have won 10 topflight titles but finished eighth last season, having gathered 37 points 30 matches.
