The Queen Cranes dispatched Mozambique 8-0 on aggregate in the first round to set up a second-round battle against the better side between Senegal and Benin.

Ayub Khalifa has some work to do with the Uganda Queens Cranes ahead of the second-round qualifier of the Under-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The Queen Cranes dispatched Mozambique 8-0 on aggregate in the first round to set up a second-round battle against the better side between Senegal and Benin.

The team won the first leg 6-0 and then wrapped it up 2-0 courtesy of goals from Phiona Nabulime and Agnes Nabukenya.

“We still have a very big problem with the backline that I need to work on,” Khalifa told the media after the game on Friday at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.

“All the four positions are really lacking, and that’s where I want to concentrate on before our next games,” he dug further.

Sharifah Nakimera, Faridah Namirimu, Desire Natooro and Patience Nabuloobi played at the back as Sharon Kaidu was in goal.
