Uganda national women's team attacking midfielder and winger Viola Nambi has completed a big move to Italian Serie A side Pomigliano Calcio Femminile.
The versatile attacker has signed a two-year employment contract in Italy after her stint with Swedish powerhouse IFK Kalmar.

The pacy winger has been training with Serie A club Pomigliano for the past few weeks ahead of the upcoming 2023/24 season.
Nambi has spent the past year with the latter, having joined them in August 2022, having excelled with the Crested Cranes in the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
She has recently been training with the Italian outfit, who have shown interest, hence the contract.
The move to Pomigliano makes it Nambi's third team in Europe, having also featured for Vaxjo DFF Women's Team for two years in 2019 and 2020.
It's worth noting that she is among the Crested Cranes provisional squad summoned by Ayub Khalifa for the WAFCON qualification Algeria double-header.
The list of female Ugandan players in Europe continues to grow, with the likes of Phiona Nabbumba, Fauzia Najjemba, Ashiat Naluggwa, Aisha Nantongo, Vanessa Karungi, among others.
