Ssemwanga got a cardiac arrest and died on the spot as the Kops handed his favourite club their heaviest defeat since 1932.

A Manchester United fan in Kampala reportedly dropped dead on Sunday evening following his club Manchester United's utterly disappointing defeat to tradtional rivals Liverpool.

Liverpool thumped United 7-0 on Sunday, in what was the Red Devils' biggest defeat in the Premier League era at Anfield with many of the club's fans facing outblown mockery for their club's performance.

Ivan Ssemwanga, now deceased, was watching the game in the cinema hall in Wakaliga, a Kampala suburb.

Ssemwanga got a cardiac arrest and died on the spot as the Kops handed his favourite club their heaviest defeat since 1932.

Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo netted twice, while substitute Roberto Firmino came to the party.

Ssemwanga's sudden death perfectly shows how much Ugandans have continuously fallen in love with English clubs, more so Manchester United and Arsenal.

It is not the first time such is happening, given that there have been several similar incidents where fans from either clubs reportedly hung themselves in Uganda after certain defeats.

When Ugandan Arsenal fans were arrested in Jinja for taking over the streets to celebrate their 3-2 victory over rivals, Manchester United at the Emirates in January is another scenario of obsession.
