Denis Onyango (Sundowns – Bumamuru FC)

Former Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango is eagerly anticipating his first competitive appearance for Sundowns as they take on Burundian side Bumamuru FC in the second leg of the CAF Champions League's second preliminary round this Saturday. Masandawana secured a convincing 4-0 victory in the first leg in Dar-es-Salaam.

Taddeo Lwanga (Pyramids – APR FC)

The tenacious midfielder Taddeo Lwanga will play a crucial role when APR FC faces Egyptian giants Pyramid FC in Cairo during the CAF Champions League's second preliminary round.

The first leg concluded in a goalless draw, with both teams striving to reach the competition's group stage for the first time.

Ibrahim Kasule, Frank Ssebuufu (New York Red Bulls II – Chicago Fire)

Ugandan duo Ibrahim Kasule and Frank Ssebuufu are determined to guide their compatriot Ibra Ssekagya's team back to victory after a 3-1 loss to Philadelphia Union II in their previous MLS NEXT PRO league outing.

Kasule has been in exceptional form, making history as the first player in the league to receive consecutive MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Month awards and earning a spot on the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Best XI; he has scored 15 goals in as many games.

Bevis Mugabi (Motherwell – Celtic)

Uganda Cranes center-back Bevis Mugabi is expected to play a pivotal role in helping Motherwell bounce back to winning ways when they face Celtic this Saturday. The team's recent 1-0 loss to Rangers marked their second consecutive league defeat.

Musa Esenu, Joackim Ojera, Simon Tamale, Charles Bbaale (Rayon Sport – Al Ahly Benghazi)

The Ugandan contingent at Rwandan side Rayon Sport faces the daunting task of steering the blues into the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup as they go up against Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi in the second leg of the second preliminary round. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw.

Faruku Miya (Fenerbahçe – Rizespor)

Uganda Cranes forward Faruku Miya's team, Rizespor, returns to action against Fenerbahçe on Sunday in the Turkish top flight.

The squad remains undefeated in four games, although Miya has yet to make an appearance this season.

Khalid Aucho (Young Africans - Al Merrikh)

Uganda Cranes assistant captain Khalid Aucho and compatriot Gift Fred at Yanga will be targeting to guide their side past Sudanese side Al Merrikh in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round on Saturday.
