Having won it all, Kampala Queens forward Hasifah Nassuna says her main target is to join professional ranks.

Nassuna added another milestone to her achievements as she lifted the FUFA Women’s Super League title with Kampala Queens.

She won her fifth league title and became the most decorated player in the women’s league as Kampala Queens lifted the title on April 30.

Speaking to Pulse Sports Uganda at the trophy presentation ceremony to the club patron Hon. Anita Among, Nassuna noted that she is confident of her making it to the professional leagues abroad.

“I am very happy to have won the title. It feels very nice but you it comes with hard work.

“Right now, we’re concentrating on the upcoming championships but in the next level of my career, I would like to play professional football abroad”, she noted.

Last year, the former UCU Lady Cardinals striker became the first woman player to hit a century of goals to her tally in her football journey that only started in 2015.

In her first season in the FUFA Women Elite League, now rebranded as FUFA Women Super League, Nassuna bagged 14 goals for her then-club, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.

She guided Kawempe to three consecutive titles in 2015, 2016 and 2017.

She then moved to UCU Lady Cardinals and won the 2018 title.

The Covid-19 outbreak disrupted league football, and she has now returned to win the 2023 title with Kampala Queens.

She has more gongs to her name, including league MVP – in 2015, 2016 and 2018/19, and Golden Boot in 2016/17 and 2018/19.

At the national level, she won the Crested Crane's maiden CECAFA title last year as the team returned to the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time since 2000.
