The 28-year-old defender has been playing regularly for the Soldiers this season
Ulinzi Stars defender Boniface Andayi has said he is looking forward to a call-up to the Harambee Stars after showing class in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) this season.
Andayi has featured in more than ten league matches for the Soldiers this season, earning rave reviews for his composure in defense.
With Harambee Stars set to play Burundi in two international friendlies in March, the former Compel FC man said he was confident of hearing from the technical bench and joining his colleagues in doing the battle for the country.
"I want to appear in the national team, and I am working hard to achieve it," he said.
Buoyed by his consistent form for Ulinzi, the tough-tackling defender added it would be a joy to win his team the Premier League trophy.
"Team performance is now good for sure. At the start of the season, we lost two consecutive matches. But that is because we had not gelled properly, but now we are performing well, and we are optimistic that we will give our best in the remaining matches.
"I want to help my team to lift the FKF Premier League trophy. I know this team's capability and what everyone is capable of," he concluded.
The defender is expected to star again in a league match against Gor Mahia FC on Saturday.
Ulinzi Stars are placed seventh on the FKF Premier League table with 24 points from 15 matches played this season.
Andayi has been with Ulinzi Stars since 2017 when he was promoted from Ulinzi Warriors after joining the side from National Division 2 outfit Compel FC.
He made his senior team debut on September 16, 2018, in an FKF Premier League match against Wazito that was played at the Kericho Green Stadium.
