The Soldiers have not had the best of starts in the league this season, winning one and losing the other four of their opening five fixtures, with injuries partly contributing to the sorry form.

Four-time Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) champions, Ulinzi Stars, have provided an update on the state of their treatment table ahead of their must-win fixture against Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.

The Soldiers have not had the best start to the league this season, winning one and losing the other four of their opening five fixtures. As a result, the last thing they need is players out with injuries.

Dennis Magige, Elvis Nandwa and Clinton Omondi are unavailable for selection as all three players are in the process of stepping up their rehabilitation process from injuries.

Magige suffered a left foot soft tissue injury which he picked during their home game against Sofapaka.

The hard-tackling midfielder, who was signed from Bandari FC before the start of the season, has had a history of injury problems. While still a Dockers player, he suffered a right foot toe fracture in training last October, which kept him out of action until January this year.

Ulinzi Stars missed his presence in midfield as they lost to Muhoroni Youth last weekend, and will be hoping he returns to the pitch as soon as possible.

Veteran striker Elvis Nandwa has proven to be a useful goal-getter for the Soldiers and his experience will be needed if they are to get out of their rather sorry predicament.

Omondi has also been a reliable option down the flanks, providing pace, trickery, and creativity from the flanks. In his absence, the Soldiers have over relied on Boniface Muchiri to provide some sort of magic from the flanks.
