Nigeria Super Eagles forward Umar Sadiq has warned cyberbullies that he is a typical Hausa boy and has no fear following widespread attacks on him, Alex Iwobi and others.

Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq has fired back at online trolls and bullies, warning he will retaliate, unlike teammate Alex Iwobi.

Pulse Sports Nigeria reports that Sadiq reacted after he was attacked despite not playing a part in Nigeria’s AFCON 2023 journey.

As reported by Pulse Sports, Fulham playmaker Iwobi was a victim of cyberbullying following Nigeria’s painful defeat to Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the 34th AFCON.

The ugly incident has now led to widespread attacks on some of the players, including Real Sociedad striker, Umar, who was not a part of the team’s run in Ivory Coast.

In a post on his Instagram account, Sadiq has defended himself, warning the trolls that he is not his Super Eagles teammates, Iwobi, and would retaliate as a typical Hausa boy.

“I no even play you con dey insult me,” Sadiq wrote on his Instagram story.

His feisty post serves notice that he will not absorb criticism quietly.

“Pushing someone into depression & mental breakdown,” he added. “Yet you want life to be better for you, e no fit ever better for una! Vagabonds!!!”

While likely said in the heat of the moment, Sadiq's abrasive threats reveal his disdain for those attacking him behind keyboards.

The remarks provide insight into Sadiq's prickly personality - in contrast to Iwobi's restraint, he vows to hit back hard at online abusers.

Umar was a part of the Super Eagles final team to Cote d’Ivoire but exited the tournament due to an infamous injury.
