Uganda Martyrs University will be all certain about their spot in the knockout stage of the Pepsi University Football League should they beat Kabale University away, on Tuesday.

Uganda Martyrs University will be all certain about their spot in the knockout stage of the Pepsi University Football League should they beat Kabale University away, on Tuesday.

Having accumulated three wins in as many games, the Martyrs have had a perfect start to the season and are sitting pretty atop Group A with nine points.

However, they don't expect an easy outing against Kabale, who will also be fired up for three points.

"We are not taking anything for granted. We're not going to sit back, we're not playing for a draw. We're playing for a win and I think that's the mentality you need," head coach Eric Kisuze told the press.

And having comfortably beaten Kabale 3-0 at Nkozi last time out, Kisuze will be confident that his side can get the same result away.

Meanwhile, Kabale University coach Farouk Nsubuga wants his team to get back on track with tomorrow the perfect opportunity.

“Everyone is looking forward to Tuesday, not that we haven’t got a point to prove but we’ve had performances where we have gradually got better.,” Nsubuga said.

“Ultimately it’s down to results and that’s what we and the fans want. We’ll be going out on Tuesday to put up a fight and do whatever it takes to get the 3 points from the game. It will be tough but we’ll be prepared for Tuesday and we’ll all be ready to fight,” Nsubuga added.

“The best thing we did last week in the second half was apply pressure and make them come off their line. I expect to see the team continue improving, without the flaws that didn't let us get the results we wanted." Nsubuga summed.

While Uganda Martyrs are top with nine points, Kabale occupy third on the log with three. Bugema and University of Kisubi are second and last with nine and zero points, respectively.
