Former champions Kyambogo University will be looking to get their season back on track when they host Muni University on Thursday in the Pepsi University Football League.

Kyambogo lost 1-0 to nemesis Makerere University in their opener and will only settle for victory against Muni on Thursday.

"It is still early days, and there is nothing to worry about. But yes, this is a must-win game for us, and I believe we shall win it," Kyambogo head coach Christopher Lobbo noted.

"We had a very slow start in the previous game, and we didn't take care of business on our end as we lacked that finishing touch," he said.

"I was disappointed the way we came out offensively, I didn't think we looked like we were ready to take that field, and that is not how we've been in the past campaigns," Lobbo added.

On the other hand, Muni University coach Ronnie Atiku Ronnie hopes to capitalize on teamwork as they build on their opening day stalemate with Ndejje University.

"We are building the chemistry of this team to have a common goal," Atiku told the media.

"We have good players. We just got to get them working together as a team, which was the hurdle we faced during the last game."

"It takes hard work. It takes communication. It takes discipline, and it takes some talent. I believe we have enough talent to compete in the league," Atiku added.

While Kyambogo languish at the bottom without a single point, Muni are second with one. Makerere and Ndejje are top and third with six and one point, respectively.
