Both desperate Victoria University and YMCA Comprehensive Institute will tussle it out in the Pepsi University Football League on Friday for match day two of Group B at Kabojja.

The two suffered defeats in their opening games. Victoria lost 1-0 away in Mbale to Islamic University In Uganda, while YMCA lost by the same score to Makerere University Business School (MUBS).

Meanwhile, Victoria's head coach Emmanuel Amagu has expressed optimism that his side will turn things around and Nick will win on home turf.

"We played well in Mbale, but lady luck simply wasn't by our side. It was terrible to lose like that in the very last minute of the game, but that is football," Amagu told the press.

"However, if we continue like this, we're on a good path and shall win our upcoming games."

"I always ask my team to put on a good performance that they will be proud of when they come off the pitch. I am very confident we shall do the same against YMCA, and this time we shall win," Amagu added.

On the other hand, YMCA's head coach, Michael Kalyesubula, has vowed to make amends to ensure the team bounces back positively.

"We have players that have bought into the system and are playing a team game. If we can stick to those concepts, we will be fantastic," Kalyesubula noted.

"We really believe we can compete in the league, and we have all the confidence in the team moving forward."

Both teams lie at the base in Group B with no point, with MUBS leading the park (six points), while IUIU sits second with three points.
