Echegini inspires Juventus
In what was her first-ever derby for Juventus Women since her transfer as reported by Pulse Sports, the Super Falcons star stole the show in the away tie.
The 22-year-old netted both goals in the opening quarter of the explosive encounter to help Juventus close the gap between them and leaders AS Roma.
Echegini’s double against Inter was her fourth goal of the season for Juventus in only six matches since she made the switch to the Serie A Femminile in January.
The Nigerian made her debut as a late substitute against Inter’s neighbors, AC Milan, playing just two minutes before he netted her first goal for Juventus against Sassuolo a week later also as a substitute.
Echegini’s latest goals earned Juventus back-to-back wins for the first time in five matches and sees them close the gap from leaders Roma to just eight points.
The Nigerian and her Juventus teammates will return to the pitch on Friday when they host SSD Napoli Femminile.
