While Kayiwa was the topscorer with 13 goals at Express FC, Okello , who plied his trade at KCCA FC last season, provided the most assists (eight) in the league.
Forward Allan Kayiwa and playmaker Allan Okello will each take home a gong and a prize as reward for their respective excellence last campaign, at the Pilsner Uganda Premier League End of the Season awards.
While Kayiwa was the topscorer with 13 goals at Express FC, Okello , who plied his trade at KCCA FC last season, provided the most assists (eight) in the league.
According to the official statistics of the Uganda Premier League website, the two lead in the two categories and will thus claim the Topscorer and Most Assists awards, respectively.
For the topscorer's award, Kayiwa beat SC Villa forward Charles Bbaale (12), KCCA's Rogers Mato (11) and Fred Amaku who had 10 goals.
However, Kayiwa's tally reflects a decline from the 2021/22 campaign where Cesar Manzoki, then at Vipers SC, managed 18 goals.
On the other hand, Okello fended off opposition from Arua Hill SC's Gadafi Wahab (six), Milton Karisa (five) and Ibrahim Kasule who had five assists, before he moved on from Wakiso Giants FC to New York Red Bulls II in March.
A number of players including Ibrahim Dada, Nicholas Kabonge, Frank Ssebufu and Bright Anukani managed four assists for the season.
Kayiwa and Okello will thus receive their prizes at what promises a glamorous awarding ceremony, at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Thursday.
