Vipers SC will have enough time to prepare for their next CAF Champions League game away to Simba SC.
Pulse Sports understands that Vipers, who were supposed to face Arua Hills SC on Wednesday, March 1st, in Arua, asked the league management to postpone the game.
They cite the need to prepare early before they travel to Dar-es-Salaam.
"We indeed requested for our game (Vs Arua Hills) to be postponed. This is because we need ample time to prepare for the Simba game away."
"The Arua trip would have interrupted our program logistically and the players." a club official that preferred anonymity noted.
In a communique released on Monday and signed by Benard Bainamani, the CEO of the Uganda Premier League secretariat, Vipers asked for the game to be moved because they were considering travelling to Tanzania earlier.
"The UPL Secretariat is receipt of a communication from Vipers SC requesting that the match against Arua Hill that was scheduled to be played on Wednesday, March 1st, be rescheduled to allow them to prepare for their upcoming match against Simba," read part of the statement.
"Accordingly, the match has been postponed; a new date will be communicated later," the statement added.
Vipers face Simba on March 7th for their fourth group stage game and need a win to brighten their chances of advancing from the group stages.
The Venoms, who have lost twice and drawn once in the three games played so far, sit bottom of the group with one point.
