Esther Musoke, previously the Head of Marketing at the local governing body FUFA, has joined the UPL Secretariat as the Chief Commercial Officer.
The Uganda Premier League (UPL) Secretariat has strengthened its marketing and commercial department by bringing aboard a well-acquainted professional.
Esther Musoke, previously the Head of Marketing at the local governing body FUFA, has joined the UPL Secretariat as the Chief Commercial Officer.
Her appointment was confirmed on Saturday during the review of the FUFA Super League Board Annual General Meeting, attended by its board members.
Bernard Bainamani, the UPL CEO, expressed confidence in Musoke's appointment: “Ester’s addition to the UPL Secretariat will be invaluable, and we are optimistic that her presence will bring added value not only to the league but to football as a whole.
Recognized for her pivotal role in revitalizing the FUFA marketing department, Musoke successfully brought several sponsors onboard and is keen on replicating this success at the UPL.
“Having been a pioneer in sports marketing at FUFA, and gaining vast experience, including from FIFA training and consulting for CAF, I am equipped to elevate the UPL brand,” Musoke told Pulse Sports.
Her aim is to enhance the UPL brand’s appeal to the corporate world and augment the league’s revenue. Musoke was also the strategist behind the annual FUFA Corporate Tournament, attracting top companies to a two-day event in Njeru.

In her new role, Musoke will undertake various duties, including the overarching responsibility for developing marketing strategies and identifying opportunities to ensure the UPL’s business growth and revenue generation.
Currently, the UPL is in pursuit of sponsors to facilitate better management of the league.
