For the first time in five attempts, URA FC beat Express FC in the only game played on Sunday in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The four-time league winners won 1-0 against the Red Eagles in Nakisunga, with midfielder Nicholas Kabonge scoring the game's only goal.
A little rain delay saw the game kickoff five minutes late, and the first half had both teams adjust to the wet surface and couldn't do as much heading to the break goalless.
After the break, the home side showed they wanted it more with every opportunity they created.
Sam Timbe's charges finally broke the deadlock in the 66th minute, with Nicholas Kabonge finding the back of the net.
Express FC tried to get back into the game to no avail, with URA FC goalkeeper Nafian Alionz making a few crucial saves.
The win was URA FC's second on the bounce in the second round, while the search for a first win in the second half of the season continues for the Red Eagles.
"I thought we had a better game than them, although they scored after we lost concentration in defence," Express FC's head coach noted before adding.
"We created so many chances, but we didn't utilize them; however, we shall go back and prepare better for our next game against SC Villa."
The tax collectors now move to ninth position on 20 points, two ahead of 11th-placed Express FC after 16 match days.
