The United States have appointed ex-Nigeria defender Michael Nsien as the head coach of the country’s U-19 men’s national team.
Former Nigeria U-23 defender Michael Nsien has been appointed head coach of the USA U-19 Team.
Nsien has been in charge of the US Men's U-16 team since November 2022.

The 42-year-old was also assistant manager to interim USMNT head coach B.J. Callaghan during the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.
”Working for U.S. Soccer and helping to grow the game in this country has been an incredible opportunity,” Nsien said.
“I’m excited to move up to the U-19 MYNT to continue helping young players reach their full potential. We have a deep, talented pool of players in this country, and I’m excited to help them put on a strong performance at the upcoming Pan-American Games.”
He managed FC Tulsa in the USL Championship for four seasons before joining the Federation. The club reached the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2017 under Nsien's leadership.
