Bayer Leverkusen top striker Victor Boniface got Nigerian football fans excited with his humility after visiting his childhood friend in church during on the eve of Christmas.
Super Eagles star striker Victor Boniface is back in Nigeria for the festive celebrations, and he took time out to visit his childhood friend in church on Christmas eve.
Boniface, currently having the best season of his career with German club side Bayer Leverkusen, is one of the top and hottest strikers in Europe's top five League.
The 23-year-old currently leads the club’s goal-scoring charts this season, as Xabi Alonso’s side maintains a firm grip on top of the Bundesliga table. Also, he has won a remarkable 4 Bundesliga Rookie of the Month awards after his delightful displays for Leverkusen.

Bayer Leverkusen and Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is reportedly attracting serious interest from Italy's top clubs.
Now back home in Nigeria for the festive holiday season, Boniface took time out to visit his childhood friend as they both attended a church.
His friend by the name @iamofficialobj, posted on his X page a picture of both of them together.
"See who came home for Christmas… My Childhood buddy @boniface_jrn"
In response, Boniface wrote: "You come church abi na outside you sit down", and the friend replies with "No be me and you dey outside together" adding a video to it.
The tweet by his friend has garnered many reactions online, with many referring to the striker as the epitome of humility despite his riches and fame.
After the Christmas and New Year holidays, Boniface will be back in Germany to continue his splendid season. Also, he will look forward to joining the Nigerian football team as he leads the Super Eagles forward position alongside Victor Osimhen at AFCON 2024 in Ivory Coast.
