Nigeria Super Eagles' Victor Osimhen is yet to commit his future to Napoli but still has two years left on his contract with the club.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has alerted suitors Liverpool following ongoing talks around his contract with SSC Napoli.

Osimhen still has two years left on his current contract with the Italian champions but his remains heavily linked with a move away from the club.

Osimhen’s Napoli future

The 24-year-old has become a hero in Naples after his heroic performance as Napoli lifted the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years.

Osimhen played a pivotal role in that remarkable feat, with the Nigerian Super Eagles striker scoring 26 goals in 32 appearances for the club.

However, a combination of things has now led to question marks around his future at the Armando Maradona Stadium.

Liverpool on alert

According to a report by the Mirror, Premier League giants, Liverpool, are one of the clubs keeping tabs on the Nigerian forward.

The Reds, who reportedly sent scouts to monitor Osimhen in action with Nigeria will want to bolster their attacking options with the addition of the former Lille man.

Per the report, Liverpool are now on alert following disagreements between Osimhen and Napoli as both parties are said to be far apart in their demands.

Osimhen, who currently earns 4.5 million euros yearly, is said to want double that figure to commit his future to Napoli.

Napoli and Osimhen are also at variance with each other regarding a release clause as the Italian champions want to insert 200 million euros while the player prefers an ‘easy and cheap’ fee.

These have alerted Liverpool and Chelsea, who are said to have joined the race for the Nigerian’s signature as Mauricio Pochettino looks to solve the club’s attacking problems.

Liverpool have reportedly moved decisively with direct contact with Osimhen’s camp.
