Nigeria's Victor Osimhen proved too hot for Tottenham to handle after a fantastic brace for Galatasaray in the Europa League.

Nigeria's own Victor Osimhen showcased his striking prowess in a thrilling Europa League clash, scoring a stunning brace that inspired Galatasaray to a convincing 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

The 25-year-old forward, who has quickly become a fan favourite since joining the Turkish giants and looked in a good mood before the clash, proved to be too hot for the Premier League side to handle.

Osimhen's journey in Europe has been a rollercoaster, and after two matches without finding the back of the net in European competition, he was eager to make his mark.

The atmosphere in the Rams Park stadium was electric, and as the match kicked off, it was clear that Osimhen was ready to seize the moment. He didn’t disappoint.

Within the first half, Osimhen struck twice, each goal a reminder of his skill and determination. His first was a ‘classy one-touch’ finish, perfectly described by the club’s account just after the hour mark.

Eight minutes later, he added a second with what was again by the club described as a nasty tap-in, capitalising on a defensive lapse from Spurs to poke home a weighty cross from Dries Mertens.

The Nigerian's confidence was palpable as he celebrated with his teammates, their smiles reflecting the joy of a job well done.

Despite his two goals, Osimhen could have easily completed a hat trick. He missed two clear chances that would have sealed the deal and had another goal ruled out for offside by the assistant referee.

Yet, even with these near-misses, including a clear sight on goal with a header early second half, his impact on the game was undeniable.

His relentless pursuit and tenacity kept Spurs' defence on high alert throughout the match.

This brace not only marked Osimhen's first goals in European competition for Galatasaray but also showed why the Turkish giants are plotting to make his loan a permanent transfer.

With seven goals and five assists already this season across all competitions, he is proving to be an invaluable asset for the Lions.
