Nigeria's Victor Osimhen wants a move away from SSC Napoli this summer but has been advised that a year under new boss Antonio Conte could see him transformed into an elite striker.
Victor Osimhen has been advised to forget about leaving SSC Napoli this summer and spend another year in Naples under new manager Antonio Conte.
The former Inter Milan and Juventus boss was appointed as the latest man to take charge of the dethroned Italian champions but could start his reign without main man and Napoli icon Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen and Conte at Napoli
The 25-year-old Nigerian, who prefers a move to the Premier League, wants to depart the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona this summer.
But he has been urged that a year under new boss Conte could see him transformed into an elite striker.
'If Osimhen chooses to stay, which is still highly unlikely considering Conte's recent claims, things will look very different compared to last season,' an expert told Football Italia.
'Rather than the manager merry-go-round and drama that held the club down, there is a refreshed spirit under new boss Antonio Conte.”
Osimhen's decision to leave Napoli started after a strained relationship with former boss Rudi Garcia late last year which culminated in a racist post by the club's official handle on Tiktok.
The poor relationship between Garcia and Osimhen added to what turned out to be a poor title defence in Serie A, just a few months after Osimhen fired the club to a historic title, their first in 33 years.
However, in terms of his performances for the club, Osimhen remained in form, going on to score 15 goals in just 25 matches in the league for the Partenopei.
But despite his wish to leave Napoli after four brilliant years, Osimhen has been told that staying at Napoli with Conte, who has already spoken to the Nigerian about his future, could finally transform him into the centre forward he has the potential to be.
“The Italian is one of the most demanding in the game but earns his results through disciplined play and a heavy focus on striker movement,” the Italian football expert added.
'If he could take Éder and Graziano Pelle to that stage, Conte would help Osimhen make that leap from a great striker into the elite, world-class category.'
In a related development, PSG's pursuit of Victor Osimhen has taken a new twist as they plot to offer Napoli three players to get the Nigerian forward, with the player's agent meeting the French club yesterday.
According to this Pulse Sports report, the Ligue 1 champions are willing to offer three players in exchange for the talented Osimhen as they look to replace Kylian Mbappe, who has departed for his dream club Real Madrid.
