Victor Wanyama left his fans in awe when he announced the birth of his second child, the confirmation coming two weeks after he revealed his partner was pregnant.
Born on June 25, 1991, in Nairobi, Wanyama grew up in a family where sports were the lifeblood.

Among them, his elder brother McDonald Mariga (now Kenyan FA vice-president) blazed a trail in Europe, featuring for clubs like Parma and Inter Milan, setting an ambitious precedent for Victor to follow.
Wanyama’s footballing journey began humbly, fine-tuning his craft at local academies before briefly training with Sweden’s Helsingborgs.
However, it was not until his European breakthrough with Belgium’s Beerschot AC in 2008 that Wanyama began his steady climb toward becoming Kenya’s most recognizable football star.
As he looks back on his career, it is his debut for the Harambee Stars against the mighty Super Eagles that remains etched in his memory.
