Senegalese striker Pape Abdou Ndiaye has sent a veiled warning to their CAF Champions League opponents following their 1-0 win over Simba over the weekend.
The 21-year-old striker made headlines with the all-important goal that earned the three points for the Guineans to start their campaign on the right footing.
Ndiaye has said that the win breathed a sigh of relief to him and the club.
“It's a very deserved win because we've been working on this momentum since the start of the season,” Ndiaye told his club media.
Appetite
Ndiaye believes the result has launched their pad and hopes it motivates them to go all the way.
“This is our first match in this group stage, we had to win it in order to have the appetite for the competition. The coach's instructions were followed to the letter and here we are victorious.
“I say thank you to God for this grace and congratulations to the entire Horoya team, God-willing, we will go far in this competition until the final. And why not win it?” he tickled.
The team will embark on a journey to Kampala midweek to play Vipers in a match day two fixture set for Saturday. The Guineans are second in Group C with three points, the same as Raja Casablanca but below due to an inferior goal advantage.
