Nigeria will play Mexico, Colombia and Costa Rica as part of preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Nigeria's senior women's national team - the Super Falcons, have arrived in Leon, Mexico for February's Revelation Cup invitational tournament.
The Revelation Cup, a four-nation invitational organised by the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) is expected, to serve as part of preparations for the Super Falcons ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.
The one-week invitational tournament will also play host to Costa Rica and Colombia, two other teams who will participate in the Women's World Cup in Australia/New Zealand later in July.
Super Falcons to play first game on Wednesday
The competition will see all four teams take on each other in a round-robin format between Wednesday, February 15 to Tuesday, February 21 with Costa Rica and Colombia opening festivities.
Nigeria who arrived in Leon, State of Guanajuato, on Monday, will in their first assignment take on the hosts Mexico, and then Colombia, three days later.
Their final fixture in the invitational tournament in Leon will see them play Costa Rica next Tuesday.
Earlier reacting to Nigeria's invitation to the tournament, Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum called the event an opportunity to learn about other continents' styles before the World Cup started.
“The Revelations Cup Mexico is an opportunity to watch other team’s styles. We can learn from Concacaf and South American teams. We are very excited for the invitation to the @RevCupMexico.
"As an American, I know Mexico and Costa Rica very well, and Colombia is also a big rival. It is an honour to play these matches."
The Super Falcons will later in July, participate alongside 31 others at the Women's global showpiece in Australia and New Zealand.
It will be the Super Falcons' ninth appearance at the Women's World Cup, a record they share withthe United States, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Brazil, and Japan.
Nigeria are drawn in Group B of the 2023 tournament alongside co-hosts Canada, Australia, and the Republic of Ireland.
