Pilsner-StarTimes Uganda Premier League defender of the season Hillary Mukundane has set personal targets going into next season
Mukundane outlasted SC Villa's Gift Fred and Bright Stars' Warren Buule to win the award after a stellar season, which ended with a second league title for the former Mbarara City skipper.
"Winning this award motivates me to win it again next year and prove to people that it was not a fluke," Mukundane told Pulse Sports.

Pilsner – StarTimes Uganda Premier League player of the season, Milton Kariisa, has praised his team for their resilience as they retained their title at the end of the last season.
"I was not sure whether I would win the award; Gift Fred had an outstanding campaign, almost winning the league with Villa, but I am happy that I have won the award," he added.
Mukundane was also voted in the team of the season for his rock-solid performance at the heart of the champion's defence, conceding just 13 goals and kept 20 clean sheets all season.

"I think that it's every defender's dream in the league to be able to win the best award, and I am delighted that I have been able to win it."
Vipers have started pre-season preparations for the upcoming season, where they will aim to complete a three peat and secure qualification to the CAF Champions’ League group stages.
