The club has a profoundly entrenched fan base among the local community in Vihiga.
Vihiga Bullets head coach Milton Kidiga has noted that the club will return to the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) in 2024.

FOOTBALL Vihiga Bullets relegated after defeat to FC Talanta
The Western region-based club has garnered only eight points from 30 matches played this season.
Kidiga said a lack of consistency in most of their matches cost them their Premier League status, but he is hopeful of a short stay in the National Super League (NSL).
"We conceded a lot of goals and we lacked experience in some of the playing departments. We will, however, learn from our mistakes and I think we will be a strong team in the National Super League," he said.
"Our stay there will be short and we will be back after one season. I know our fans are disappointed but we could not pay them back but I assure them we will be back," he added.

FKFPL Louis Kizito resigns from fast sinking Vihiga Bullets
Bullets face Ulinzi Stars on Wednesday and there will be a change in the visiting team's dugout for the fixture.
Bullets acquired 19 new players in the mid-season transfer window after parting with others to build a new younger squad as they looked to avoid relegation.
The team also lost their top scorer, Vincent Ogolla, who signed for Kakamega Homeboyz, and the trio of Lucas Weitere, Brian Okoth, and Kelvin Mwavali.
However, the new players have taken time to gel and understand Kidiga's system of play, with four matches remaining until the season's end.
