Vihiga Queens are all set to embark on a thrilling journey as they prepare to leave for Uganda on Thursday evening to take part in the CAF Women’s Champions League 2023 qualifiers for the CECAFA Zone.
The four-time Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League (FKFWPL) champions have been diligently honing their skills during an intense training camp in Nairobi, in anticipation of the qualifiers scheduled to kick off from August 12 to 30.
Under the guidance of Coach Charles Okere, Vihiga Queens found themselves placed in Group B of the qualifiers, along with formidable opponents such as JKT Queens from Tanzania, AS Kigali from Rwanda, and New Generation FC hailing from Zanzibar.
