As they prepare for what's meant to be a revival campaign, Uganda Premier League record holders continue to sort their preseason transfer business.
And, according to Sports Nation, the Jogoo are moments away from netting Busoga United defender Peter Onzima and Onduparaka FC goalkepeer Norman Angufidru.
The pair has been training with Villa in their preseason at their East High Ntinda training base.
And, new Villa head coach Dusan Stojanovic is reportedly impressed with the duo, and two-year contracts are thus being lined.
Onzima joined Busoga from regional nemesis BUL FC at the start of the 2021/22 season. He also previously played for Edgars FC.
Meanwhile, Angufidru spent one season with the Caterpillars, having joined from Calvary FC at the commencement of the 2022/23 season.
Villa, who finished third last season with 52 points, have already lost two key figures in skipper Gift Fred and forward Charles Bbaale.
