FOOTBALL Vipers close transfer business with Ghanaian forward

Vipers SC have confirmed closure of their transfer window with eight new recruits, with the final one hailing straight from Ghana in West Africa.

The six-time Uganda Premier League champions have unveiled Awisone Fumador, making him the final signing this summer.

The center forward, has penned down a two-year employment contract with the league champions.

He comes in to pump fresh attacking energy, as the club battles in the CAF Champions League, FUFA Super 8, Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup.

According to Vipers' website, he previously featured for Cape Coast Ebusuwa Dwarfs FC where he scored 20 goals between 2012-2014.

Fumador also plied his trade at Berekum Chelsea where he netted 22 goals and at Elmina Sharks FC where struck six times.

Fumador also played at Elmina Glolamp Academy and Ho Hostel FC where he scored 15 and 10 goals respectively.

He has previously received national team call-ups both at the Ghana U-20 and U-23 levels in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

Stiff competition awaits from the likes of Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez, Desire Tety, Abubakar Lawal, Yunus Sentamu, Rodriguez Shamamba and Mohamed Salem Ekbad.

The other recruits include, Giancarlo Rodriguez, Luiz Otavio Santos de Araujo alias Tinga, Richard Matovu, David Bagoole, Grant Matsiko and Paul Patrick Mbowa as well as Salem Ekbad.
