The 2023/24 CAF Champions League journey for Vipers SC kicks off with a trip to Botswana against Jwaneng Galaxy on Sunday at the Lobatse Sports Complex.
It will be victory on Vipers' mind as they target straight seasons in the group stages.
Brazilian tactician Leonard Martins Neiva is confident of picking positive results against a side he feels won't be an easy one.
"I believe in our capacity & preparations as a team and l believe we can surprise Jwaneng Galaxy FC tomorrow," he was quoted by Vipers media.
"And, we are here to try and win the game. And that's why we are going to try and do our best," the Brazilian tactician added.
"Jwaneng Galaxy FC have had a good run in the CAF Champions League and three or four years ago they beat Simba."
"But our target is about tomorrow and after tomorrow we are going to organize the team for next week's return leg as we look forward for the second preliminary round," Neiva summed.
The winner between the two sides will meet one of Comoros' Djabal FC and South Africa's Orlando Pirates.
The South Africans hold a slight advantage in the tie, as they have beaten Djabal 1-0 in an important away victory.
