Marvin Youngman has navigated a similar trajectory, grappling with persistent injuries that temporarily shifted his position within Vipers SC's ranks.

Nonetheless, Youngman appears to have emerged from this ordeal with an unshaken resolve, emphasizing that while his injuries may have caused doubt among others, he never wavered in his self-belief.

"Injuries may have caused doubt in others, but I never lost confidence in myself," Youngman tweeted.

Aged 24, Youngman moved to Vipers SC from Soltilo Bright Stars in July 2022.

However, his time at the club has been marked by periods spent in the treatment room rather than on the field.

Throughout the previous season, he managed a handful of appearances, including a brief 18-minute appearance against Maroons FC during the FUFA Super 8 classification game on August 14th.

Anticipated to contribute significantly to the midfield for the six-time league champions, Youngman, a Uganda Cranes international, is poised to make his mark as their new season begins.

The team's opening match against Gaddafi awaits confirmation on a date.

Before embarking on the league campaign, Vipers face the task of overturning a 2-0 deficit against Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy in the CAF Champions League first preliminary round.

The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, August 26th, at the St. Mary's Stadium Kitende.
