Midfielder Ibrahim Wammanah has said that he ‘had to seize the opportunity’ after completing his move to URA FC from UPDF FC.
Wammanah has put pen to paper on a two-year contract with the Nakawa-based club, sealing his position in the squad until at least 2025.

"It's a big privilege to join URA FC because it's a big team, and when such opportunity comes, you have to take it up," Wammanah said.
Describing the transition as 'a big move to a big club', Wammanah believes his move to URA FC will be instrumental in his career development.
He also articulated his ambition to help the club secure silverware in his debut season. "I'm sure with the quality of players around, we shall realize it," he confidently remarked.
URA FC acknowledged their new acquisition's attributes, which were instrumental in their decision to sign him.
Wammanah's mobility, combativeness, composure, passing intelligence, and ability to cover massive distances on the pitch are some of the qualities that distinguished him as an exceptional addition to their squad.
The former UPDF captain brings a wealth of experience to URA FC, having had stints with Proline FC and KCCA FC.
His professional career spans over five years of Premier League football since 2016, making him a seasoned player in the league.
Wammanah becomes the sixth new addition to URA FC, following recent signings including talented teenagers Denis Luzige Kisiriko, John Innocent Kisolo, Bwangani Amis, and Godfrey Sekibengo, as well as the versatile Moses Okabo Aliro.
