Warri Wolves and Delta Queens will be representing the state at the National FA Cup
The Nigeria National League side, Warri Wolves, and the Delta Queens of Asaba have emerged as the champions of the Delta State Football Association, FA Cup.
Pulse Sports reports that the national FA Cup Round of 64 matches in the men’s competition and the Round of 32 matches in the women’s competition will be held on Wednesday, April 26.
The Round of 32 matches in the men’s competition has been scheduled for Wednesday, 3 May, with the Round of 16 on Wednesday, 10 May. Quarterfinal matches are to take place on Wednesday, 17 May.
Warri Wolves, Delta Queens Own Delta Football
Warri Wolves defeated Osevan Fc 2-0 to win the title with goals from Izuchukwu Christian in the 43rd minutes and Malik Jabbar effort in the 54th minutes from a corner kick that resulted to a rebound after a good effort by the goal keeper.
Delta Queens thrashed Royal Queens of Warri 3-0 to prove their superiority in the state contest after their unbeaten run record in the just concluded regular season of the Nigeria Women Football League, Premiership (NWFL).
The NWFL's highest goal scorer, Mercy Omokwo's lone goal, and Cynthia Mega's brace are all Delta Queens needed to win the women's FA Cup.

With only 31 teams in the round of 32, defending champions of the women's cup Bayelsa Queens, are already through to the next round having been granted a bye.
Reacting to the victory, Delta Queens coach Tosan Bob Blankson said that the three of his goals have been achieved, so he can now concentrate on the crucial Super Six match that will decide the NWFL's overall champions in the near future.
"We have won the regular league season (Group A) of the NWFL premiership and qualified for the Super Six tournament, and now champions of the DFA Cup, all in one week.
"Our target now, is to win the Super six competition in the month of May, we shall keep working hard to achieve our target, Tosan posited'.
Present at the final were Delta State Sports Commission boss Tonobok Okowa and Solomon Ogba, vice chairman of the Nigeria Olympic Committee.
