Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi proved to be the cleverest after he outwitted compatriot Calvin Bassey in a test of knowledge on African players in the Premier League.
The Fulham stars went head-to-head in the show on YouTube, with Iwobi flexing his mental superiority over his younger colleague and compatriot in the quiz showdown.

Pulse Sports can report that the test, which took place on Sky Sports and shared on YouTube saw the Super Eagles stars compete to demonstrate their superior intellect and grasp of African footballing trivia ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, slated for Ivory Coast.
Iwobi, 27, emerged as the winner in the lively show after seeing off a keen challenge from Bassey following a 6-4 win for the former Everton and Arsenal man.
Despite Bassey’s best efforts, Iwobi showed why he is one of Nigeria’s midfield think-tanks by answering questions ranging from which African player has the most PL appearances, to the most goals and red cards amongst other intriguing questions.
“The win goes to Iwobi, solid, you know your PL African footballers,” the test moderator
Iwobi celebrated his win with a fist pump while Bassey congratulated him after the tense show.
Iwobi and Bassey have since joined up with their international teammates in Nigeria’s Abu Dhabi camp ahead of the AFCON which kicks off next week.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles will play their opener against Equatorial Guinea on January 14th, with Iwobi and Bassey expected to be in action as the Eagles chase a fourth AFCON crown.
