Asisat Oshoala has continued her impressive performance in the National Women's Soccer League, as she recorded an assist in her second game.

Pulse Sports reported that Oshoala scored a historic and stunning goal for the new franchise, Bay FC, in their inaugural match against Angel City FC.

The Nigeria superstar, who joined BAY as a high-profile free agent after leaving Barcelona, wrote her name into the NWSL record books as she produced a sparkling individual display for Bay FC, only for Washington to dramatically snatch all three NWSL points late on.

Oshoala's brilliance not enough as Bay suffers defeat

In a thrilling encounter, Bay faced off against Washington, with Nigerian superstar Asisat Oshoala showcasing her brilliance on the field. However, despite her standout performance, Bay ultimately fell short, succumbing to a 2-1 defeat.

In the 11th minute of the game, Oshoala demonstrated her playmaking prowess by delivering a sublime through ball to set up teammate Dorian Bailey for a close-range finish.

Her impact didn't stop there, as she came close to doubling the lead with a powerful strike that rattled the upright.

Throughout the match, Oshoala proved to be unstoppable, creating numerous goalscoring opportunities and delivering key passes to her teammates.

Despite her efforts, Washington managed to claw their way back into the game, equalizing in the 23rd minute before securing a late, dramatic victory in added time.

While the result may be disappointing for Bay, Oshoala's exceptional performance once again highlighted her status as one of the most formidable strikers in the NWSL.
