Video emerges of Sports CS Nominee Kipchumba Murkomen wriggling in pain after seemingly suffering an injury while taking part in a football match.

A video has emerged showing the new Cabinet Secretary nominee for the Ministry of Sports, Youth Affairs, and the Arts, Kipchumba Murkomen, appearing to squeal in a lot of pain.

On Thursday, President William Ruto announced his second batch of Cabinet members as he sought to reconstitute the executive arm of government following a month of sustained protests against his administration.

To the surprise of many, Ruto nominated Murkomen, a highly controversial figure, for the sports docket, which naturally polarized the opinions of many stakeholders.

As Murkomen awaits the vetting process, a video has surfaced of him moaning and crying after seemingly suffering an injury while playing a game of football.

In the video, Murkomen is surrounded by paramedics, match officials, and fellow players as he clutches his shoulder in pain. “Do not touch it,” he wails.

Murkomen is known for his affinity for football and has often taken part in exhibition matches between government officials.

Additionally, he is a staunch Manchester United supporter and shared photos of himself taking a stadium tour of Old Trafford on his social media handles in 2018.

Murkomen's political journey began as Senator for Elgeyo Marakwet in 2013, a position he held until 2022.

He was reelected for a third term in the August 9th, 2022 General Elections on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket.

Besides his extensive political experience, Murkomen boasts impressive academic credentials. He holds a PhD in law from the American University, Washington College of Law, completed in May 2017.

Furthermore, he has earned degrees from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, and the University of Nairobi, where he completed his Masters and Bachelors degrees, respectively.
